About

Thanks for your interest in learning more about me. I have had some tremendous blessings, including conducting stress management training for relief workers in hot spots around the world and working with Empower Women Leaders to help fight the Liberian Ebola epidemic.

As well as traveling and speaking internationally, I am an author of the book, UN-DE-TERRED: Embracing Our Purpose, Facing Our Challenges, and co-author of Discovering God's Purpose: A Guided Journal Connecting Me to God's Plan for My Life. My audience for these books is women. I find it a privilege to encourage women to find out who they are, embrace their potential, and offer steps they can take to move forward.

Graduating from Michigan State University, I earned my Ph.D. in Family and Child Ecology with an emphasis on psychosocial health. Additional training in stress management and in trauma care was received from the Harvard Medical School/New England Deaconess Hospital: Clinical Training in Mind/Body Medicine, The Center for Mind/Body Medicine, The National Institute for Trauma and Loss in Children, and Certificates of Completion in Stress Coaching and Crisis Response and Trauma Care from Light University.

With an M.A. in Classroom Education, I have taught in higher education in the United States, Asia, and Africa.

I also am an Amen Clinic Certified Brain Health Coach and a John Maxwell coach, speaker, and trainer.
